connecting xbox to internet - best option
#1
hi
this question has been asked many a times before
i am getting my first xbox.
i came to know connecting to internet is not that simple.
i have
option 1 - buy a wireless gaming adapter - cost around 30-50euros - expensive
option 2 - bring wire from first floor to ground floor xbox - too much wiring - not feasible
option 3 - have 2 netgear wireless routers - not sure if they can be connected together

any suggestion for the best approach i can take up?
pls do give me ur valuable suggestions

Honestly the cheapest and most economical way is to get an old router (I reccomment the WRT54G because they are plentiful and cheap.) then install DDWRT on them and do client-bridging... following the tutorials you should have it working in under an hour and have 4 ports for consoles, wirelessly, and bridged to your subnet on your LAN for media/net sharing.

I'm a cable fan... wireless I find slow... especially G combined with the Xbox and large video files..

Can you not run a length of ethernet round the outside of your house?
