want an os that's a little more media savvy? xbox media centre allows for playback of all sorts of different video and music files with a decent 6ft user interface.

this new era of console development has not only created an industry, but it's created a number of bedroom software houses that have the same influence today, in their relative market, that codemasters had back in the days when they were starting to establish themselves. we should surely be excited that there are some developers around that are passionate about something, that are cracking something out for love rather than profit? won't these experiences let them cut their teeth before moving into the mainstream industry and coming up with something cool?

this hardcore of console modification should be encouraged, not stamped out. it's amazing that you can do so much with a bit of drive and a lot of imagination.
