Using latest 9.11 rc1 on my Mac which I have configured to autostart on boot.
However when I try to reboot or shutdown from the menu (using various skins) I am placed back on the desktop.
Previous version from May 2009 I never saw the desktop. (unless I selected exit of course).
Can someone please suggest a solution.

You might up the logging, it might show some issue with shutdown messaging.

Plex? I've sayd in another post that Plex had the shutdown function and that i couldn't find it in xbmc, you have sayd to me where to find it and it works. What i've added to the discussion is that in aeon hitched skin the label for shutdown the mac and shutdown xbmc is the same (in system configuration): the label is "SPEGNI".
I'm sorry if i can't clearly explain ^^
