I am having a little trouble with a sort of EPG section for TV listings to supplement my TV launching plugin. I am able to scrape the listings and set the info for each channel with "Now playing" and "Up next" info, but if a tv program finishes, the only way I can change the info displayed is to go out of the plugin and then back in to rescrape the info.

Is there any way I can check whether a show has ended (perhaps on a timer or when an item is selected), and update the info for the channels?
