linux builds are hosted on ppa, since we cannot handle all the archs/distros ourself (or cba atleast).
billy the buildbot is the bot that builds those nightly builds.

I figured it out myself. The problem is one of the settings of EasyTag, that is, "Write ID3 tags in FLAC file (in addition to FLAC tag)". This is checked by default. With that unchecked the FLAC tags are correctly visualized by XBMC
