Hi all.
I have recently installed a larger screen, a sony bravia.
One thing I am noticing on XBMC running on 1080i with films is that in dark scenes, something somewhere is trying to compensate so the dark areas are brightening a bit then when the scene gets brighter the dark bits darken back down a bit. Its hard to describe, but manifiests as sort of flashing between black and grey.
What I am wondering is, is this something to do with rendering or some setting somewhere in XBMC, or of HDMI or of the mac mini, or is it something to do with the bravia engine on the sony?
Its very annoying and does not appear to happen when watching the built in tv tuner of the tv.
Sadly thats the only two inputs I have so cannot check anything else.
