Broadcom Crystal-HD fit in Asrock 330HT
#1
Hi!

Would it be possible to add the crystal-hd card to a Asrock 330HT and then run Windows 7 + XBMC?

you dont need the broadcom card to run windows 7 and XBMC on that box do you? I thought that it handled both those with ease.

for the broadcom card you need one mini PCI-E slot

don't know if one is available in the asrock system

else than that, speedemon is right: when you have an Ion system, you can get XBMC to work in windows with DXVA acceleration, so no need for additional decoding.
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)
Asus Chromebox EZ Script
Kodi on Sony Bravia Android TVs

thats what I had thought, you should be able to get 1080p out via HDMI perfectly, and with the flash 10.1 beta, you can also do fullscreen hulu flash.

XBMC on the Asrock Ion 330Ht works fine under linux thanx to VDPAU (both live and Ubuntu installation)
Under Windows, the DXVA video acceleration does not work at all (with native internal player). The only possibility is DSplayer by Tiben20: the player ATM is in development stage and has several issues related to digital audio and does not support subtitles.
Last but not least, is to try Boxee: is a fork of XBMC but surprisingly has DXVA acceleration support (plays fine 1080p)
