Seeking while video playing causes audio to unsync
#1
Eek For some reason, when a video is playing and I do a seek - the audio gets out of sync.

It's *REALLY* bad is the file has a Dolby Digital track.

Has anyone seen these?

Thanks

Ok, After a little testing - if I set my audio to analog it doesn't do it.

If I set it to Digital - it does (sorta).

I did a clean install and it sometimes won't use my audio driver (it's nvidia HDMI - I've seen other users with issues there so I'll look at that).

Anyway - I have a 9.11b2 in my bedroom and it works perfectly. However - it's doing analog audio only.

So this is for sure related to digital.

Ok, this is interesting:

My motherboard (this is a small acer machine) had two audio devices. Nvidia and Realtek.

By disabling the realtek - my audio works and seeking is fine (so far)...

Also, my MKV files would report "failed to initialize audio device". However, when I disabled the realtek - It played correctly.

Keep it in mind in the future, you could help in solving your problem and, maybe, the same problem for others. Wink
