My install of Camelot 9.11 LIVE works perfectly with my Zotac mag except for the menu sounds. I have tried to edit .asoundrc and asound.conf with no luck. I have read many posts and done many searches. Would nightly build perhaps fix this?

Did you make the changes with root access to the file it wont save the changes without that.

You could try this Ion optimized build of XBMC Live and see if it fairs any better.

I logged in via ssh through Putty as the user I created when installing. I then used sudo to edit the file. Everything else works perfect so I would like to stay away from a reinstall.
