I need some help on my hw configuration ;)

Hi everyone, i've just set up my new media center buildt in an HP dc7700 computer,

- Intel celeron 3ghz
- 1gb ram
- chipset vga: 128 mb
- xbmc live installation

i still have problem in playing full hd videos (1080 right?)

i think that this should be a problem due to the cpu, i've read that dual core cpu are needed for playing hd videos... what do you say? its true? i was planning to buy a vga card (ddr2/3 512mb dedicated memory), can this help?

and at last i wanted to buy a sound card (possibly external/usb) because the case of the computer is a SFF and cards are in a smaller format that its hard to find ... which card is the most compatible with an xbmc live installation?

thanks for you apreciated help Smile

ps: im italian = my english s**ks Smile

what is the video card in that computer?
Use mythicalLibrarian to make a library out of your MythTV files. Leave the recording to MythTV and use XBMC as your library.

Using Live you should be using a Nvidia graphics card. Video is then processed through the GPU instead of the CPU.
