Hi everybody I hope I have posted this in the right corner:
I am quite new to xbmc and I must admit it's a great tool! However some things don't seem so clear to me yet:
I have been using Windows 7 Mediaplyer to edit the Genre tags in my MP3 s so that i won't have milions of music genres like avant garde experimental melodic metal. Instead I wanted to have only a rough structure (I have been wondering whether it is possible to create subgenres like Metal -> Melodic metal), giving me the opportunity to quickly navigate throught the Genres. But when I make Xbmc rescan my Music Folder it will recreate exactly those Genres I had just erazed. I even reinstalled it, but that didn't lead me any further..
I hope you guys can help me!
Edit: When I look at the album information from within Xbmc it says for instance Children of Bodom Chaos ridden Years Genre Metal, But it's still sorted into the Genre Melodic Deathmetal..
EDIT2: When I make Xbmc clean my library it doesn't clean anyything at all... all entries are stil there... Is there something wrong with my installation?
