Wouldn't it be better to get the cdART picture from the same folder the files are in, instead of reading the artist and album names from the ID3 tag and create the path to the picture with this information?
This won't work with albums or even artists who contain special characters in the name or when the name is too long (and I got a few albums with a name which is so ridiculous long that you don't even want to try to remember it).
Especially on my good ol XBox I can't use many of those characters and the length of the file and folder names isn't enough. So I have no chance of getting those labels on all of my CDs, since I don't want to mess up my ID3 tags.
I also started to rename the folders of my artists and albums (artists where followed by an underscore and an abbreviation of the name of the country - the names of the albums started with the year they where released in) just to realize that it won't be possible to get cdART on all of them.
So, I guess I'm going back to my naming conventions and hope that I'll get those labels on my discs sometime though.
I also started to mess around with the Includes_Workarounds.xml and found something like $INFO[ListItem.Path], but it didn't work with the cdArt pictures. Since I'm not a coder I guess it will be hard for me to get this done with no knowledge of XBMC code at all.
But I guess it should be possible, since the fanart pictures also work when they're in the folder of the artist. Isn't this possible for cdART as well?
Cheers!
