Weird problem. I have XBMC added to my Startup programs folder. But when I reboot, it crashes. Then when I start it by hand, it runs fine. The same happens when I add XBMC to the EventGhost startup section: after a reboot, EventGhost (that is in my startup section as well) runs fine and tries to start XBMC, but then XBMC crashes. Then I start it by hand, and of courswe it runs fine.
The XBMC log file shows no error or warning message.
Any ideas anyone?

If you add "-d 10" to the XBMC.exe command line this tells XBMC to pause (for 10 seconds in this example) before starting. Try this and see if it helps. Maybe start with a really long delay like 30 seconds and work down.

I had to put a delay in too as I was also getting this issue from time to time (Under Windows Vista 7)

Thanks for the suggestion! I was not aware of the command line option. I will try this tonight and report the outcome.

Adding "-d 10" to the startup command did the trick. Thanks for the suggestion!
