i am running AsRock ION 330HT on xbmc 9.11 with karmic minimal
nvidia 185 driver

xbmc says all my movies are 24p when i know some of them are not. output is 1080/24p. even sd movies

ive added "DynamicTwinView" "False" and "FlatPanelProperties" "Scaling = Native" to my xorg.conf file.

any suggestions ?

if i leave out "DynamicTwinView" "False" and "FlatPanelProperties" "Scaling = Native" xbmc still say the video is 24p, but the output is 60hz instead of 24

Film rate is 23.976fps, rounded to two decimal places, 24.00 fps. We up scale videos to whatever output resolution you have set. It sounds to me like XBMC is working exactly as it should be. What is it that you expect to see here?

i mean that auto refresh rate isnt working, xbmc only outputs 24p no matter what source

You might try following this guide if you haven't already. My signature also has a link to a few gotchas I ran into when getting refresh rates working correctly.

I need the full log and you need to play a file that shows the issue for a couple minutes.

So what's the problem there? Log shows you're playing a 23.976 fps video and xbmc is switching to 24 hertz.

yes i see that now. yesterday when i played a dvd it was 1080/24p, but when i play it now its 50hz. i upgraded the nvidia driver today, maybe that did the trick?
