1. can someone tell me how to install git on appletv?
2. how to make a screenshot on appletv?
3. how to make appletv autodownload new svn when it's available?

Neither git nor svn will help you on the atv unless you also have the complete xcode and macports build environment installed there too. Just asking this question leads me to think that you're not really asking the right question. What do you really want to do?

the skin i use, is hosted on git. and it is frequently updated, so i thought i can make things easier...

screenshots, well... let's omit this one, it's not that important.

svn - well new svn almost every day. once again, to make things easier Smile

skin download, ok.

svn, what are you pulling from svn ? more skins ?

hmm. maybe i thought wrong. new nightly xbmc versions for appletv are released almost every day.
how can i automate this download and installation ?

wget is your friend. wget can also pull files from an svn given the file path.

So can this be done? If git was available on my appleTV, all I would have to do, to update Alaska, would be to type git pull from within the Alaska folder. It becomes trivial to cron up a nightly git pull for my Alaska then.

Thats the only reason I want git in my appleTV.
