Just received a barebone Asrock Ion330HT, to run XBMC Live + Showmix 2.5. How much RAM should I get for it - 2GB or 4GB? Yes, yes I know RAM is cheap but I purchased this little beauty under the wife-radar so I want to keep any other unnecessary costs down

hmm this got answered for me anyway seeing as my local (cheap) computer place only has 2GB sticks of DDR2-800 so-dimm. so i'll just grab one stick for now and see if i need a second stick later on...

2GB are more as enough.

i run xbmc on an special (self created) distribution and it needs mostly time around 100MB sometimes up to 150 -200MB.

512MB i have reserved for the GPU.
