PS2 Remote on Windows XP
#1
Hi there, I have a nice PS2 remote and would like to use it on my PC which is running Windows XP. What I'm looking for is a suggestion for an USB based IR receiver which is able to decode what the PS2 remote sends and which I can use to control XBMC with.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Event Ghost?

Thanks. As far as I understand, Event Ghost is software only. What I'd need is some kind of hardware receiver which accepts what the PS2 remote sends.

Ok, I got myself a "USB IR" USB-Adapter from Conrad, the driver coming with it installed flawlessly. It's apparently a "Moschip MCS7780". Now what? I tried finding a suitable plugin for Event Ghost to receive the remote's input but couldn't. I couldn't find a suitable configuration for the IR Server Suite either. I still have no clue on how to control XBMC with my PS2 remote.

Please help.

Thanks.
