this is in Ubuntu Karmic 9.10, no need to use ppa, just install with:

sudo apt-get install ureadahead

then reboot

So what if you use sreadahead to?

http://code.google.com/p/sreadahead/

Can you use both ureadahed and sreadahead at the same time?
So if i install it with the command

sudo apt-get install ureadahead
It will start by itself on the next boot?

no you can't use boh at the same time, ureadahead has now replaced sreadahead in both karmic (via -updates) and lucid.

i would purge sreadahead first, then install ureadahead, then reboot, and it will build the pack files for you.

sudo apt-get --purge remove ureadahead
reboot
then
sudo apt-get install ureadahead
