Connecting Acer Revo to CRT Tv
#1
Is there anyway of connecting the Acer Revo to a TV (old CRT) which has no HDMI or VGA connection.

I want to upgrade my TV but it won't be until later in the year.

I was in the same boat, stepea. I didn't find any solution other than an expensive HDMI/VGA to component/composite adapter. The problem with VGA to s-video/component/composite breakout cables is that the video drivers need to support them. I couldn't find any information on that support with the Revo. So, I just went with the AppleTV and a Crystal HD card. While less flexible than the Revo, it's amazingly simple and works great with my component inputs. There's also a hack that allows you to run full color composite out of the AppleTV, if you don't have component inputs.

It's until I can afford a new TV, hopefully sometime this year but much later on in the year.

What about this

or this (same thing different supplier)

VGA is RGB while RCA component is Y/Pb/Pr. In other words, that cable will not work you'd need a [url=
