XMBC freezing
#1
I already started a thread before the XBMC crash a few days before,
looks like the thread is also gone.

My problem was:

I currently use the latest XBMC Version w/ the BSPlayer incl.
I add the CoreAVC Codec to use the GPU while playing movies.
Everything works fine, CPU usage = 0-5 %, GPU do a great job.

When I now stop movies (just using the stop button in XBMC) the
whole XBMC System is freezing. I can´t do anything, just use STRG+ALT+Del and kill the XBMC task.

Is this a known problem?
Can anyone help me?

System details:
Core2Quad
8 GB Ram
Nvidia 9600 GT SLI System (currently just one card inside)
MSI P35 Motherboard

Thanks in advance.

best regards
Ingo

Its DSPlayer not BSPlayer. You might want to ask in that specific thread.

You´re right, sorry.
I think i solved the problem.
Looks like the DSPlayer version of XBMC and Windows 7 won´t work together.
I try it on different PCs always w/ the same result. (freezing XBMC)

Now I use the the nightly build version of XBMC from March, 1:

and everything works fine, also GPU acceleration.

I'm having a similar problem as you, although XBMC is freezing when either starting or stopping a movie, or when I try to exit XBMC.

It seems I've got about one minute before the next command will freeze XBMC. I've made a thread about it here with more details about it.
