Increase network timeout
#1
I have all of my media stored on a server in the basement. The server spins down hard drives that aren't in use to save a little power. When XBMC tries to play a movie or update the library, it times out. I didn't have this problem in the past very often. On 28256 it happens constantly. I looked through advancedsettings on the wiki, but could only find

<autodetectpingtime>30</autodetectpingtime>
<curlclienttimeout>10</curlclienttimeout>
<curllowspeedtime>5</curllowspeedtime>

I don't think those are what I need. Can anyone help me with this?

Edit: Not sure if this is the proper section, but this problem is on an appletv. Feel free to move this if you think it belongs somewhere else.

Those options aren't going to help you. Though, you can change the samba timeout.

Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

Wow...how the heck did I miss that?! Thanks kraqhd, that's exactly what I was looking for. Do you have any idea what the default is?

Edit: Actually it doesn't matter what the default is. I'll just set it and keep bumping it up until it works. Thanks! :-)
