Does anyone know a shortcut to shutdown xbmc. Its for a mce remote but I use key presses on the remote so if there is a alt+shift+h command or something I don't know about or a other way I would love to know it cheers.

You can map a key to the shutdown menu, see:

but there doesn't seem to be a shutdown action which you can map directly

If you want to map a key to shutdown your system then the command is Powerdown otherwise do as eriksmith200 suggested map a key to the shutdown menu
