iMDB ratings don't show decimals?
#1
Question
Hi

I'm using the latest Alaska release from github.

Running XBMC r28256 on Ubuntu Karmic.

I have noticed (switching from OS X to Ubuntu), that the iMDB ratings are shown with a "," instead of a "." and that all ratings aren't showing any decimals.

For example, a "7.3" movie rating is showing as "7,00" instead.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks Smile

And what happens in other skins?

Thx for the reply Hitcher,

I just tried with Confluence, and all the iMDB ratings are rounded to ",00" there too.

So it's not an Alaska problem at all, but I'm still hoping that maybe you have an idea what's wrong?

(Does it have anything to do with regional settings in Ubuntu maybe? - I'm using English Ubuntu, but with the regional setting set to Denmark and Danish Keyboard layout).

Thanks,

It'll be the scraper/nfo then.

I just checked the .nfo's, they look fine.

Here is an example:
Code:
<rating>6.9</rating>

Hmm, weird, could it be font or region related... I'm just guessing here?

It only uses the fonts in the skin so it can't be that.

The reason I suspect some localisation/regional error, is that, I know that in Denmark we use "," for decimal numbers and in the US they use "." (as far as I remember).

That doesn't explain why the decimals aren't showing though... Hmm.

Ratings were working fine in Mac OS X, same skin, same settings, same .nfo's.

"Only" difference is the move to Ubuntu Karmic.
