What will be the first "Revo Killer" this season?
#1
Any thoughts and speculations on which is going to be the first product actually released that can kill the Revo 1600 as the best sub $200 XBMC box or best the Revo 3610 as a sub $350 box?

Any dates floating around out there yet for the Boxee box, Zbox, or XS35? What else might drop this spring?

I'm looking for the new zbox to beat out the 3610, and Pegatron to possibly best the 1600. I have a 1600 running Win 7. It was a pain in the a$* to get it all working right, but after a lot of reading and trial and error it all works great!

That was a badly done (http://www.tgdaily.com/hardware-features...benchmarks) test on a prototype measuring 3D performance, so completely irrelevant to XBMC video play back.
If anything the ION2 will be better suited for video playback since it has 512MB of dedicated video RAM, while the old ION was sharing system RAM.
Also the ION2 is VDPAU spec. C while the old one is spec. B (lacking divx/xvid hardware decoding).
