It may just be me but on the most recent build and the previous ones when opening Movies or Tv Shows, it takes forever to get the first view to come up. Anyone else getting this?

Its not recommend to use the latest buiilds, they're really unstable as the devs pointed out earlier.
Try to use an older one.

Its also been said in the past that the more skins you have installed, and the more 'custom views' you have for the different sections (music, pics, movies etc..) the more bloated the guisettings.xml file will be.
So try deleting that file, then reloading xbmc, and only use the skin you want. Feel free to setup the viewtypes as you like but this way you'll keep the guisettings.xml to a minimum.
