Hi folks,
i'm using the latest version of xbmc installed under ubuntu 9.10 (karmic koala). I have an ati radeon x1200 graphics card using the radeon driver. I deactived compiz. However, when i start xbmc, the ubuntu screen settings appear where i could choose to activate visual effects (and therefore compiz). but nothing can be clicked, just the window appears. i have to kill the xbmc process via ssh remote login and then i can go on working. thus, i can not start xbmc as it just hangs up the system. I also tested using glxinfo and glxgears with the result that direct rendering is active and the wheels are turning in the demo. Has anyone an idea, what the problem is and why the screen settings window appears after starting xbmc?
