Flickering Screen on Samsung TV with XBMC Live on Revo 3610
#1
Guys

Hopefully someone can help as this is starting to really get on my nerves.

I am using XBMC Live on a Revo 3610. I have a Samsung LE40a656 and it is juddering when showing certain inputs. It is fine for my SKY+ HD on HDMI 1, however I have had the juddering now on XBOX360, WDTV and now an Acer Revo running XBMC live all connected via HDMI.

I have tried different HDMI Cables (No Joy), I have tried all HDMI ports, even swapping with SKY (no Joy), I have even tried various resolution and refresh outputs from the devices mentioned (no joy).

I dont know what else to do, it doesnt happen all of the time, but when it starts, the TV is unusable.

I have got a video of it Here

Are there any settings that I could amend in XBMC to maybe help?

Cheers

Gareth

Hello,
I think you have a same problem as I am having with xbmc linux or live.
After a week I went back to windows base OS.
I think the problem is with HDMI HDCP protocol.
No matter what I try does not work with linux base xbmc (inc xbmc live)
My tv is Sharp LC52D85U and I have Zotax itx base HTPC.
Since I am running vista no issue with this hdmi signal drop.
Cheers,
