I have seen some forums that allow other users to click a "Thanks" button. It says: The following user(s) say thanks to username for this post: user1, user2

I think that it would be a great way to build some cred, and allow us another way to just say: "Thanks!"

You can always add reputation to the user. It's kinda equivalent.
