In my setup I never use WMC so I just disabled it. There is a registry setting to disable it.

I tried the registry setting but it would still partially launch and throw an exception on the screen. I'll try the link that steelman posted. I'm on Vista Home X64 FWIW.

In relation to my first post. I re-installed Win7 (for a non-related issue) and XBMC and mapped the menu button on the remote to C.

Everything is working properly again.
