Is it possible to use the technology (Pixelfusion) of Neuview to scale video in XBMC?

Neuview is a new mediaplayer with awesome video quality. Far better than MPC and other players.

If it's not open source with a proper license, xbmc can't use it.

Hmm...so no Pixelfusion scaling for XBMC in the near future? Sad

Nope. From the image you show, it looks like all it does is crank the sharpness to the point of being severly unnatural, whilst increasing the brightness to a similar extent.

One would hope those example images are it being applied in the extreme!

This gives the sort of look of how they setup flat panel displays in costco and best buy. The overblown colors really "pop", even under bright lights but I would image it gets pretty fatiguing to look at for long.

I would imagine that nVidia digital vibrance cranked up + VDPAU sharpen and denoise would get something pretty darn similar overall.

agreed, that looks way over sharpened. Too much post-processing to the picture.

ALL their screenshots look terrible.

When are people going to realize... you can't fake data that doesn't exist!
