Windows GPU offload
#1
Hi,

I have a PC which I previoulsy used for XBMC Live (Linux) which got an onboard Nvidia chip with HDMI out. When using Live, this worked perfect with VPDAU and GPU offloading and I could watch 1080P movies fine. I am now running Windows 7 on this PC and now 1080P is really bad and stuttering obviously because VPDAU is not supported in Windows.

Does anyone know if upgrading and buying a new Nvidia card could improve this. I.e. does Nvidia support GPU offloading in Windows for newer models where this would be manged outside XBMC or similar. Or could buyinga Crystal HD card be the solution ?

Any suggestions would be appreciated
