A quick question,
What is the best skin, im currently using Aeon Hitcher (which is gorgeous) but are there any other that surpass it and are also optimised for 1080p as I have noticed that these were designed back in 2008 !!

Aeon uses textures sized for 1080p so they don't get upscaled when XBMC runs at that resolution, they only get scaled (down) when running at 720p so their quality doesn't get affected.

I'd suggest trying loads of different skins and making your own choice.
