Im finding it dificult to find a new motherboard that will support a linux build of xbmc, are the i core platformes supported.

Any of the ION platforms with Nvidia should work. I'm using a Zotac IONITX-F-E. Flawless, smooth 1080 playback.

i'm using the asus at3n7a-i (bluetooth "onboard" / atom 330). but there's also a successor available without any active cooling parts (replaced the fan of my board with an huge noctua silent case fan).
had no troubles with the usual suspects:
- wake on lan
- suspend (s3)
