Hey there, guys!

The hot spot, the cream, the best of xTV, in my opinion, is the wrap view... I have been trying to change my HOME.XML to use this wonderful view but got no success. Matter of fact I don't even know if this is possible...

Anyone?

Thanks!

Confused

Cospefogo,

As things stand at the moment, NO. Sorry all of the menu type screens are hard coded to look the way they do. Home screen is coded to look like the "List2" view as that's the way it was done on the AppleTV (which is what xTV is based on). Maybe somewhere down the track I could do something about this (to provide a "Wrap" view type home screen that is), but its not a priority at the moment.

As a side note, I'm currently working on polishing the look of various views (and including "BASIC" media flagging info on each view), "Wrap" is getting the treatment at the moment. I might post a screen grab or two after I get some feedback from my beta testers.

Thank you very much, Wyrm!
I will keep an eye open around these forums then!

At the moment I am doing some modification on the other XMLs by myself, like MyProgs, MyMusic, MyVideos, etc.

I will be happy to share some screens later.

Thanks again!
Cospefogo.

there was a mod years ago called Carousel, which was nice. see if you can dig that up, maybe integrate it into current skin. wasn't an option, it was a replacement home.xml.

Smiff,

If you find this can you send it my way. Might be interesting to see if I can't add it as an option to the skin.

Smiff,

Thanks for that, will look at the code I found in that thread and see if it can mesh with the code as it stands now. I'm not promising anything as I have no idea how it would go with the current practice of removing unwanted menu items. At any rate, not for a while, as August is insanely busy for me. But I will keep you posted.

don't make it a priority, the main problem is that it was horizontal, whereas the other views (at least by default) are vertical navigation. this creates pointless confusion. perhaps if you turned it vertical. or just an option. or allow changing of views on the main menu which i know was in your todo already!
