I recently bought the Revo 1600 and installed xbmc live on it and it has been working well up until a day or so ago. it still plays everything just fine, but it seems as if the databases for retrieving music and movie info are no longer responding (none of them). additionally, the weather program doesn't pull any weather data.

it's seems that overall there is an internet signal, because when I accessed the CBS video plugin I was able to stream some shows (though in some plugins like the NBC Universal one I get "script error" messages and they don't play).

I'm very new to this so I though I would ask for help and see if these issues have popped up and if there's an easy workaround or not. If more info is needed (logs, etc) please tell me what would help to post and I will do it. I'm still learning this thing...

It sounds weird that the internet seems out on most actions but working for others like streaming. I think your best bet would be to post a debug log with those actions. See http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=34655 and http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Log_file for more details.

one thing that I've noticed is that it seems to be a scraper related problem, in that NONE of the scrapers will work for anything (though I'm not sure how that relates to the weather not pulling info). i know there have been issues with imdb and tvdb not working properly, but in my case nothing works (and it did at one time! which is frustrating!)

it seems that most of it quit responding after i ran the svn repo. any connection? (i've since deleted it and nothing fixed)


i'll work on getting that specific information soon as I'm still really new at this and gonna have to study that to get everything right heh.
