Recommended USB-IR receiver / Apple Remote

hello all,

i am planning to buy a "Foxconn NetBox-nT330i" for use with xbmc. i am planning to use an apple remote with xbmc. i like the apple infared control (its small and i dont need more to watch movies).

can anyone recommend a cheap IR usb adapter which works with the apple remote and linux?

any true (!) MCE RC6 USB IR receiver should do the job
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)

that's an IRDA adapter not an MCE-compatible IR receiver

nah, that's also not right... usually the "guaranteed to work" MCE IR receivers are quite big bastards such as the HP one, just search ebay. you can get them really cheap directly from HK but it usually takes 1 or 2 weeks for them to arrive.
