first i want to say that xbmc is awesome.

i got a question when i play a dvd movie in xbmc how can i switch between 480 / 720 and 1080i ?

i got a pal xbox and my plasma can do hdtv (1080i)

yes.

you need to first change your xbox to an ntsc one. then, get the required cables, and turn on 480p/720p/1080i in the ms dash.

xbmc will then work fine in 720p etc.
