[Linux] Sound over HDMI on NVS 3100M

hi guys. i'm a linux n00b and have no clue how to get sound over hdmi on my HP Elitebook 8440p laptop running ubuntu lucid lynx.

has anyone succeeded in making this one pop? Smile

some commands i've read other do on these issues.

my best guess is that alsa currently just does not support this quadro card

nah thats not me. that dude got a lenovo t410 and i have a hp 8440p. same card tho so solution is hopefully the same.

hope they will fix it. i gotta live with w7 and xbmc for now then. should be strong enough cpu to play 1080p anyway.

pls update this thread when things happen with this card.
