I am a newbie of both XBMC and linux, but am trying to catch up. After searching the forum, I can't find what I need to help me solve it myself. Please forgive my poor English, and here is what I am having trouble with:
I recently installed xbmc on my ubuntu box (10.04 updated until June 20, 2010) using this tutorial : http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW..._or_higher
After installation, when everything else seems working, the video playback has something wrong which I can't figure out what is the problem. In short, when I can see the play control and the subtitle and also hear sound tracks of the movie, I just can't see a thing but a blank screen with different color fading into each other. After some readings, I thought this was some "tearing" issue, but after disabled the vsync in the xbmc, nothing changed. This is the best I can explain my problem, though I have a screen shot of it, I don't know how to upload to here.
The configure of my Ubuntu box is as follow,
Motherboard: A780G
CPU: AMD II X2 450
Memory: 2G
Video: ATI Radeon HD3200 integrated video
Architecture: i686
OS Core: Linux 2.6.32
OpenGL: 3.2.9756 Compatibility profile context
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz
XBMC Version: 9.11 r26018

BTW, I can play the video in mplayer with no problem on the same ubuntu box. Hope someone can help translate it into solutions. Any suggestion is welcomed, and thanks in advance!
