I know I have to edit menu.lst but I have no linux knowledge and I'm sitting in putty trying to find out how to edit that file to auto mount ntfs volumes.

I found out how to do that somehow last time but can't find anything now.

nano /boot/grub/menu.lst
use arrow keys to find noautomount ( I think ) delete that and one comma
hit Ctrl+X then Y
might need to use sudo to get by permission denied
