I just got the new mac mini base configuration today. It comes with 2.4 gigahertz dual core , 2 gigs of ram and a better graphics card. I just thought people might want to know that xbmc runs great on this thing. Im playing avatar in full 1080p straight from blu ray source with no problems, the previous mac mini 2.26 gigahertz could not handle it, not even with graphics acceleration.

You're not making it any easier to resist it, you know! The price holds me back, but *only* the price. If you could have obliged by saying it didn't work well with xbmc things would be much simpler!

Are you running it under what operative system? Are you getting hw/decoding?
