hi,

does anyone have a list of which tcp and udp port numbers i should open on my firewall to allow xbmc out onto the web? i firewall everything due to my teenage son nefarious activity. :-)

http port 80 (imdb and weather)
ntp port 123 and 37 (timeserverclient to get current time)
shoutcast port 8080 (shoutcast online mp3 streaming; this port may vary, but most of the time 8080 is used)

there may be several other ports if other media streams are used (like mms and rtps) but they may vary from stream to stream too. so maybe it is better to set the xbox to a fixed ip and allow all access from this ip or using the xbox mac to create a ruleset to allow everything.
