Last night while watching a movie a thunderstorm rolled in and took my power out for about 30 seconds. When my XBMC box came back up (Acer Aspire Revo w/ LIVE install) it had lost all it's settings. I had to reset my theme (Transparency!) and set all my settings back up.

No idea why it lost it's marbles but it was a pain in the butt getting it all set back up so I was wondering if there's a way to backup all the settings so if this happens again it's a quick restore.

Ideas?

easiest thing would be to make a copy of /home/USER/.xbmx/ this holds the user settings and things like your skins plugins etc... and thumbs and fanart

you could make a script and cron it for every week/month wouldn't need to be too regular.
