Help with zotac mag / VDPAU
#1
I recently installed Ubuntu 10.4 on my new Zotac Mag and ALMOST everything has been working smoothly. I can play everything except for HD content in the form of H.264 it seems. Here is a debug log from my attempt at playing a H.264 1080p copy of Pan's labyrinth.

I can provide the entire debug log from the session or a log of me playing any other type of video if it helps.

Thanks in advance for any help/tips!

zotac idiots have this setting defaulted at 64MB which is much too low

256MB are needed for VDPAU-accelerated 1080p playback, but no need to go up to 512MB (old revisions of XBMC&VDPAU needed 512MB but not anymore)

depending on the overall amount of RAM you have; with 2GB you can leave it at 512MB GPU, with 1GB I strongly suggest 256MB GPU
