Bricked my external

Sad
I was trying to add XBMC live to my external and I somehow managed to erase everything on it...WHICH IS FINE (cuz I backed it up) but I ended up making windows not able to read it when it's plugged in. Does anyone know what I did??!!?! Is there a way to undo it?!?!? Whenever I plug the USB in it makes the noise like it recognizes it but it doesn't show up in my computer. HELP!
