Boot straight to XBMC on OSX
#1
Hello,

I have been an XBMC user since the beginning on the original XBOX.

I have now decided to make an upgrade since the XBOX does not play HD content. Other then that its still going strong.

I bought a new MacMini to replace the old XBOX in the lounge room.

I have setup XBMC to load on boot through System Preferences / Accounts / Login Items.

I have also setup a Microsoft XBOX DVD IR Sensor (via USB) mapped to keyboard buttons witch works perfectly.

My problem is that when XBMC loads on startup its not the selected program, Finder is. Making it impossible to use the remote or keyboard to navigate until i click the mouse or command + tab.

This may seem a small tedious problem to some, but for me as a media center with no mouse or keyboard plugged in, its quite annoying.

Any help or idea's would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

[SOLVED]: I have sorted out this problem.

It turns out that the Login List is sorted by load preference. All i needed to do was to put XBMC last in the login load list and it stayed selected enabling me to use the remote without having to first select XBMC with the mouse.
