XBMC Live on DH57JG
#1
Hi,

I am having issues with XBMC Live locking up.

XBMC Live freezes about 5 seconds after successfully loading the interface. I can scroll around through menus for a short while and then it freezes.

I have successfully used XBMC running on Windows 7 for quite a while now. So I'm thinking its a Linux driver issue in XBMC Live.

My hardware is:
- MB: Intel DH57JG
- Core i3 530
- 40GB Intel X25-V SSD
- Logitech Di Novo Mini keyboard
- MCE IR, Harmony One

I am using XBMC Live 9.11 installed on the SSD.

I have tried unplugging both the keyboard and MCE IR, same result.

I haven't been able to find information on people having issues with any of the above hardware.

Can anyone suggest the next step or point towards a fix?

try XBMCfreak's live CDs

the original 9.11 is quite outdated and the intel GPU driver support never was really any good

an alternative would be the XBMCbuntu guide if you are a little familiar with linux and the terminal
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)
Asus Chromebox EZ Script
Kodi on Sony Bravia Android TVs

Thanks, that seems to have done the trick.

Hi all,

More an FYI,

I have pretty much an indentical setup as Mxxw and experienced the same problem:

- Intel DH57JG
- Intel Core i3 530
- Logitech Di Novo Mini keyboard

I intend to install XBMC on an 80GB Intel X25-M SSD. But, I wanted to try it out first, so installed it onto an 8GB USB drive with the SSD disconnected.

I also installed onto a SATA HDD (as a test) and had the same problem.

I am planning to build my XBMC MediaCenter with the Intel DH57JG too.
Did you solve the problem with new sw versions? Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks
