Micro Stutter

I am getting Microstutter on both of my machines using xbmc-r32584-Dharma. One runs an ATI HD 4550 and the other an Nvidia 9500GT. It also happens with software decoding, but does not occur using MPC-HC. It also goes away if I enable refresh rate matching but then my machine reverts the overscan setting in ATI CCC.

I can tell you how to fix the overscan issue.

I am guessing the videos you are trying to play are 24fps

Then try changing your resolution in windows through catalyst to 720p24 or 1080p24 (whichever one you are using), then change the catalyst settings for that specific res to no overscan, and then you can change your res back to what it was (720p60 or 1080p60)

Xbmc simply changes the desktop resolution to match the framerate of the video, only while you're playing it. But your catalyst settings for that res are not set properly.

The problem with CCC for me is that it doesn't always retain my overscan settings such as resuming from monitor off or even changing between the 2 refresh rates within CCC itself.
