Embedded subtitles not found

Hi guys

I apologise if this has been answered before but i couldn't find a suitable post in my search.

I use a mac but use XBMC on a win7 based media server. I combined into one .MOV file using Submerge on Mac the subtitles (in .srt format) with the .AVI file of my movie.

They work perfectly on all of my Mac's video players (DivX, VLC & Quicktime) but don't show up at all on XBMC, when i go to the option to browse for subtitles or switch them on nothing shows.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

There shouldn't be any reason to embed the subs into the video. Have you tried just putting the srt file in the same folder as your video, then playing it on XBMC?

You just need to make sure the sub has the same filename as the video, apart from the extension of course Wink

currently you have to use a different container. i saw a patch somewhere to fix embedded text subs in mov/mp4, i just cannot recall where it was just now.
