Hi all,
I hope someone can help me with a problem. I am guessing it is a basic linux thing, but since I am a noob, I am completely stuck!
I am running a script at startup, which basically lists all the media I have on my hard drive to a text file. This is called listmedia. It is in /etc/init.d
I ran chmod +x listmedia from within this directory and the script runs ok.
After running 'update-rc.d listmedia defaults' and rebooting, a log file which the script generates indicates that this ran twice.
Any ideas on how to make it run only once? I am guessing it needs removing from one of the .etc/rc*.d/ directories, but I have no idea where to start on which ones!
Thanks,
Mark
